From the windows of a small ancient palace of the Cinquecento, opposite the house where Benvenuto Cellini was born, you look over the square of the San Lorenzo Central Market, right in the centre of Florence.
The panorama is enchanting, with a splendid view over the large square of the remarkable nineteenth century building of the Mercato Centrale, one of three covered food markets built when Florence was the capital of Italy post-unification in 1860, a rarity for Florentine Renaissance standards. The atmosphere, especially during the evening, is enchanting because of the many typical Tuscan restaurantsin the same square.
Many friends and clients who were amongst our guests say that a similar experience – only for the marvellous view from the two windows overlooking the square – could be lived only in the charming Quartier Latin in Paris.
Casa Luce is the name we chose for it. We offer it for rent for short or long periods. Vacation rentals directly by the owners.
